I “reperti” delle pratiche possono aiutare a entrare in contatto con le didattiche disciplinari?
Abstract
The communication is about an interdisciplinary research project about
school exercise books in mathematics and their use in a public history project. The occasion came from the initiatives for the 150 years of Canton Ticino’s University for Teacher
education, founded in 1873. The exercise books come from the school’s archive and have
allowed us to see teaching practices in the field of arithmetic in different school degrees by
teachers with different degrees of scientific and didactic preparation. The results of the research were used in different initiatives such as a publication about how to study exercise
books (with the aim to give our students a methodological handbook based on examples
of studying teacher’s practices across exercise books) as well as in an escape game about
our school’s past during the 150-years-celebrations. We consider that this kind of public
historic history may be very useful for studies in didactics in general.
