Abstract: L’autore si propone di indagare alcuni prodotti della cultura postmoderna, in particolare la narrativa di Umberto Eco e il cinema di David Lynch, dove i mondi possibili della finzione e dell’immaginario si fanno interpreti di una nuova percezione della mondo, all’insegna della circolarità tra finzione e realtà o di una visione del mondo dove la finzione retorica e la narrazione diventano, in maniera drammatica o tragicomica, realtà, storia, verità.
The present study muses on Umberto Eco’s narrative and David Lynch’s movie sas postmodern cultural products. In their works, the worlds of fiction and imagination interpret reality in a new way; such an interpretation takes into account the circularity between fiction and reality or the worldview according to which rhetorical fiction and narration become, dramatically or tragicomically, reality, history, truth.
