Abstract: The following research project aims to test and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of teaching methodologies and tools specifically designed by the University of Salerno in order to promote the development of Perspective Taking in students attending the Italian elementary school. In recent years, the topik of research has been deepened by many scientific fields - from neuroscience to psychology, from didactics to computer science - which agree in considering Perspective Taking a complex, multidimensional and transdisciplinary construct that requires a 360° analysis of the reference literature. Wanting to delimit the perimeter of the rich scientific literature that has been expressed on the subject, in this doctoral thesis, Perspective Taking means the cognitive ability to understand the point of view of others and at the same time, to explore space from different perspectives. Numerous scientific evidence would seem to show that the ability to Perspective Taking is preparatory to the proper acquisition of the transversal skills of reading, writing and computing, STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) and social skills and investigate this construct under a "didactic" lens could be of great interest in order to promote the learning processes of everyone.
