Lo que queda… Lo que se lega. Tradición y herencia en las obras postreras de Antonio Dal Masetto
Abstract
The present research article analyzes, through a qualitative methodology,
two of the latest works by the Italian-Argentine writer Antonio Dal Masetto, the novel Cita en el Lago Maggiore (2011) and the story «Alturas»
(2015), focusing attention on the evolution of the treatment of the migratory issue, particularly relevant in this author. More specifically, the conclusions will be based on the transformation of the immigrant’s nostalgia
into a legacy of identity for the descendants. The analysis is based on the
concept of Chronotope, by Bakhtin, and the theory of evaporation of the
father, by the psychoanalyst Massimo Recalcati.
