| dc.description.abstract | Carlo Levi ha consegnato alcune variazioni del ritratto di Dafne sia ai versi che alla prosa e alla pittura, come d’altronde ha fatto col ritratto di Narciso, la figura mitologica che è al cuore della sua poiesis. La splendida Dafne è protagonista, com’è noto, di una metamorfosi vegetale. L’artista torinese eredita, a questo riguardo, la grande tradizione poetica della metamorfosi ovidiana riscontrabile sia nei numerosi versi dedicati a Dafne, sia in pittura nel grande carrubo intitolato “Daphne” (1974). | it_IT |
| dc.description.abstract | Carlo Levi has conveyed some variaions to Daphne’sportrait involving either verse, prose or painting, as indeed he had already done with the Narcissus’ portrait, the mythological figure laying at the heart of his ‘poiesis’. The beautiful nymph is the protagonist, as it is known, of a plant metamorphosis. The Turin artist inherits, tothis respect, the great poetic tradition of Ovid’s ‘Metamorphoses’, that can be found both in the verses and prose devoted to Daphne, and in painting with the great carob of 1974 entitled ‘Daphne’. | it_IT |
