Apócrifos de la memoria del Siglo XIX en cuba: disquisiciones sobre las ideas estéticas de Rafael Montoro

Abstract

Esta investigación permite profundizar en las consideraciones filosóficas de Rafael Calixto Montoro y Valdés, cubano de formación neohegeliana en España. Conocido como el más importante autonomista del siglo XIX en Cuba, es también entendido por algunos autores como el cubano con más filiación hegeliana. La investigación está encaminada, primero, a una revisión breve del contexto filosófico en el que la produc ción intelectual de Montoro es mayor (1868-1878, España). Luego, se explicarán sus consideraciones sobre realismo e idealismo en el arte dramático en España. Por último, la jerarquización de las artes que propone. Siempre teniendo en cuenta su referente filosófico más importante, Friedrich Hegel.

This research delves into the philosophical considerations of Rafael Calixto Montoro y Valdés, a Cuban intellectual with a neo-Hegelian formation in Spain. Known as the most important autonomist of 19th-century Cuba, he is also regarded by some authors as the Cuban most closely aligned with Hegelian thought. The research is structured, first, around a brief review of the philosophical context in which Montoro's intellec tual production was greatest (1868-1878, Spain). It then examines his reflections on realism and idealism in Spanish dramatic art, and finally, the hierarchy of the arts he proposes—always taking into account his most significant philosophical reference, Friedrich Hegel.
