Le Trachinie al Teatro Andromeda

Abstract

Il Teatro Andromeda è stato costruito da Lorenzo Reina, pastore e scultore, tra i monti Sicani. I suoi 108 posti di pietra riproducono la costellazione di Andromeda, creando un luogo unico dove arte e natura si fondono. Non è un semplice teatro, ma uno spazio carico di significato simbolico e suggestione. Ambientare qui le Trachinie di Sofocle rende il mito di Eracle più vicino e comprensibile, trasformando la tragedia in un’esperienza intensa. Lo spettatore, immerso nel paesaggio e sotto le stelle, diventa parte del dramma e testimone del destino dei personaggi.

The Andromeda Theater was built in the Sicani Mountains by Lorenzo Reina, a shepherd and sculptor. Its 108 stone seats reproduce the Andromeda constellation, creating a unique place where art and nature merge. It is not just a theater, but a space filled with symbolic meaning and evocative power. Setting Sophocles's Trachiniae here brings the myth of Heracles closer and more comprehensible, transforming the tragedy into an intense experience. The public, immersed in the landscape and under the stars, becomes part of the drama and witnesses the character’' fates.
